This year, the University has moved into the top 150 in both the QS World University Rankings and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
University of Exeter ranked as 46th most international in the world
The University of Exeter has been ranked as the 46th most international university in the world, based on data from the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
The accolade reflects the increasing recognition of Exeter as a truly global institution. It’s campuses are home to staff and students from more than 100 countries and academic experts collaborate with colleagues around the world on high-impact research.
The University recently opened a new office in Malaysia, joining our overseas offices in India and China, to support students, staff and alumni in these regions.
Professor Mark Goodwin, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement, said: “We are very proud of what we are achieving through our partnerships with leading international universities and organisations. The University of Exeter works in partnership with the University of Queensland through the QUEX Institute, which funds joint PhD students, collaborative research, staff and student exchange and industry and community engagement under the overarching theme of Global Sustainability and Wellbeing.
The University of Exeter and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) partner in the CUHK – University of Exeter Joint Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Resilience (ENSURE) to tackle issues related to a changing environment and human health and wellbeing through international academic exchange, policy-related work and nurturing the next generation of young researchers.
Working together, the University of Exeter and QS are leading the creation of Future17, a transformative educational partnership between a consortium of the world’s major universities and global organisations, focussed on developing 21st Century skills in graduates through team-based projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The University of Exeter’s other partnerships include the University of British Columbia Okanagan, Duke and Tsinghua. The University is the only UK member of the Venice International University (VIU), a prestigious consortium of 20 of the world’s top universities, with a campus in Venice.
