A celebration of food, farming and nature in Devon

On the 6th October a group of farmers and nature conservationists met at West Town Farm, Ide, Exeter.  The event celebrated the work of farmers and food producers in providing both good food and an improved natural environment. The event was sponsored this year by Devon Local Nature Partnership, Devon Wildlife Trust, RSPB and the Centre for Rural Policy Research.  The event was a great success providing a rare chance for an eclectic mix of people and enterprises – from mainstream to radical – to get together and share practices and ideas.  There were a lot of success stories.  Plans are already afoot for a similar event next year.
