Professor Matt Lobley awarded Associate membership of the Royal Agricultural Societies
Professor Lobley's award was for his very considerable contribution to the well being of the land based sector - particularly in the areas of retirement & succession planning.
The Awards scheme recognises distinguished achievement in agriculture and related land-based industries. They embrace not only practical farming and the development of new husbandry practices, but also research, technology, economics, education, farming care, communication and administration.
The scheme was established in 1983 by the four national Royal Agricultural Societies in the UK and Professor Lobley joins some 160 in England who over the years have shown that they are "head & shoulders above their peers". There are also 350 Fellows of the scheme who have shown continuous distinguished input to the industry.
