Bringing health and the environment into decision making: The Natural Capital Approach

Professor Ian Bateman (Director - LEEP Institute, University of Exeter Business School) and Dr Ben Wheeler's (Senior Research Fellow - European Centre for Environment and Human Health, University of Exeter Medical School) recent paper entitled, 'Bringing health and the environment into decision making: The Natural Capital Approach, ' has been published by The Rockerfeller Foundation Economic Council on Planetary Health.

This background paper gives an overview of the measures available to governments and businesses to understand the health and environmental consequences of alternative decisions and investments. This approach to understanding decisions from both a business and a wider social well-being perspective is commonly referred to as the natural capital approach.
