SWEEP Team Engament Day in North Devon

SWEEP Team Engagement Day

On Wednesday 23rd May 2018, a SWEEP Team Engagement day was held with local ecologists, in the Braunton Countryside Centre in North Devon and followed by a tour of the Braunton Burrows, the core of the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere.

The team heard about the formation of the Biosphere, it’s work bringing people together with nature, the Pioneer Initiative and it's future goals, as well as the SWEEP Impact Fellows’ work in the Biosphere.

After lunch, Mary and John Breeds from the Countryside Centre were joined by Dave Edgecombe from the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), who took the group for a tour of the burrows, looking at land and coastal management.
