Nicola Rogers
New Business Manager for the Living Systems Institute
The Living Systems Institute (LSI) is delighted to welcome Nicola Rogers as Business Manager from 1st March 2021.
Nicola has expertise in environmental microbiology and chemistry and has worked in a number of scientific research and project management positions both in the public sector and in industry. Nicola joined the University of Exeter in 2016 as Project Manager Biosciences before moving to Innovation Impact and Business in 2018 as Partnership Development Manager for Bioeconomy.
Nicola commented “The LSI is unique in its highly interdisciplinary approach to the study of living systems. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this outstanding community of researchers and contribute to shaping and driving development of the Institute.”
LSI Director Professor Austin Smith said of the appointment “We are delighted that Nicola will join LSI in this critical role. Her background is a strong fit with the needs of LSI moving forward in terms of strategic development and general operational management. Some within LSI will know Nicola already, having worked with her in her role in IIB and prior to that as a project manager in Biosciences. She knows the University well and is ideally placed to build on the existing LSI links across all professional services teams and contribute to the future success of the Institute. “
