Centre for Social Mobility launches seminar series
The Centre for Social Mobility is launching a series of seminars starting on October 17 with a talk by Associate Professor Neil Harrison of the University of the West of England.
His talk 'Students-as-insurers: rethinking decisions, uncertainty and risk for disadvantaged young people considering higher education' will takes place in the Forum Exploration Lab 1 from 13:30 -14:30.
He will be looking at how disadvantaged students are looking at higher education as a form of insurance and less of a risk even as costs have risen.
