Equity in Higher Education

On 9 July 2019, the Centre for Social Mobility was delighted to host Professor Penny Jane Burke, Global Innovation Chair for Equity from the University of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Penny is the Co-director of the Centre of Excellence for Equity in Higher Education and gave a talk to University of Exeter staff and students entitled ‘Working for Excellence in Equity in Higher Education’.

The seminar was an fantastic opportunity for members of the new Centre for Social Mobility at Exeter to be inspired by Penny's vision and leadership in setting up her centre. For those who were not able to attend, this seminar can now be viewed via this link if you have a University of Exeter email account.
