Season 6 winners - Pynes Hill Pirates

Corporate Cricket Season 6

Pynes Hill Pirates won an exciting finals night for Season 6 by defeating the defending champions Thomson Reuters in the final. It was a close fought game with Pynes Hill fielding superbly making the difference between the sides.

Semi-final one saw the favourites and defending champions Thomson Reuters score a mammoth 142 in their 10 overs on the way to defeating season three winner Friends Life by 41 runs.

Semi-final two was a much closer game! Pynes Hill Pirates scored a competitive 85 – 5 thanks to 31 not out from Andy Feather. Wilkinson Grant in their debut season then came so, so close! They finished on 83 when they lost their last wickets. They needed just three runs to win with one wicket left and four balls!

The final saw Pynes Hill Pirates restrict Thomson Reuters to 75 all out with some excellent fielding. Pynes Hill then scored the winning runs with the last batsmen at the crease with five balls to spare, indebted once again to Andy Feather with 25 not out.

“It was great to see the league played in such great spirit, with a good mixture of abilities and some entertaining moments!” Andrew Fry – Business Administration Manager
