Exeter Tennis Centre offers an exciting selection of sessions for all ages and abilities

Exeter Tennis Centre continues to thrive and offer exciting opportunities to all ages and abilities

The revamped Tennis development programme, which has streamlined tennis options from Tots through to adults, has seen a 70% growth in players across autumn compared to the summer.  With all programmes taking place on Monday early evening, Friday early evening and Saturday mornings, all ages are able to train within the same time slot. This has allowed the Tennis Centre to provide a more effective course offering, with family members of all ages able to train together.

The Tennis Centre has welcomed nearly a thousand players onto the courts this autumn term, an increase of more than 50% from the summer term. Alongside a 30% growth in student players through the same period, it’s clear the Tennis Centre has a great selection of sessions and courses available and will continue to build on this success. The superb facilities at Exeter Tennis Centre can be enjoyed by anyone and they are not exclusive to University of Exeter staff or students.

The Centre’s enthusiastic team continues to seek new members and participants for their courses; anyone interested should contact the Tennis Office to discuss course suitability or to book in for an induction session with one of the team.

“It has been fantastic to see a surge in both adults and children playing tennis, we revised the programme to try and allow siblings to receive coaching on the same evening and time. We even added many adult’s courses and sessions to encourage everyone to play. The facilities at Exeter Tennis Centre are superb, with 10 indoor courts and 2 outdoor courts.” Will McNally, Director of Tennis.

The coaching programme has spaces available for the New Year programme, both in courses and weekly sessions. The New Year sees additional Cardio Tennis sessions, tots tennis, Mini Red, Secondary Schools Introduction and Adult Advanced opportunities.

To book onto these sessions, please contact the Sports Park reception on 01392 724452 (option 1) or use the online bookings system.
