Freshers Membership Prize Winner
This year, University of Exeter Sport launched a brand new competition for first year students, giving them an opportunity to win their 2nd year Inclusive Sports Membership for free.
To enter, students had to pay for a full Gym or Inclusive Membership and then comment on Twitter or Facebook which membership they’d bought using the hashtag #exetersportprize.
The lucky winner was Georgia Pettitt, a Sport and Health Sciences student based at the University’s St Luke’s Campus. Georgia already uses the cardio and weightlifting equipment in the newly refurbished St Luke’s Sports Centre as well as playing intramural netball.
On winning the prize, Georgia commented:
“I’m delighted to have won and can’t wait to make the most of it next year. I have no excuses not to keep fit at University now!”
The Inclusive Sports Membership includes: Unlimited use of the 200-station Russell Seal Fitness Centre, St Luke's Gym & indoor swimming pool, fitness classes, badminton, squash, outdoor tennis, as well as discounted rates on other activities. Access to the Streatham Campus outdoor pool is also included during the summer months.
Overall, the prize is worth over £300, leaving Georgia with plenty of opportunities to keep fit during the academic year!
More competitions and prizes are being planned for the near future and will be announced soon on the University of Exeter Sport Facebook and Twitter pages.
