Poppy Waller-Lacrosse
Poppy, an ever present member in the EUWLC 1st team that has gone unbeaten throughout 1st term, has represented her country at Wales U19 Level. However, come the summer of 2019, Poppy was called up to the Wales Senior Squad, and has maintained her place ever since. She hopes to become a mainstay in the squad and reach the 2024 World Cup.
Rebekah Nixon-Cross Country
Third year BSc Sport & Exercise Medical Sciences student Rebekah has made two selection to run for Northern Ireland twice in her first term of 2019-20, one for the Senior Cross-Country team and one for the U23 squad. Rebekah has stated her Sport Performance Bursary will allow to cover the costs of her travel.
Sam Maunder-Rugby
Exeter Chiefs scrum-half, Sam Maunder had seen himself selected into the England U20 Rugby Union squad for the 2020 Six Nations. On top of this, Sam has appeared for the Chiefs in the Premiership Rugby Cup, helping them to top their pool.
Theo Williams-Sailing
First year Mathematics student Theo had a strong start to his University sailing by throwing himself in at the deep end – competing in the NACRA 15 World Open Championships with his sister, placing 20th out of 80. On top of this, Theo finished 3rd at BUCS Fleet Racing Championships, gaining the University vital BUCS Points.
