EUTC Awards & Accolades
In the past month Exeter University Tennis Club has achieved both regional and national recognition for its most ambitious and expansive student programme to date.
The club was recently awarded LTA South & South West tennis club of the year, with club captains Antonija Sokic & James Coffin accepting the award in front of the crowd at this years Cinch Championships (Queens Club).
EUTC then went on to achieve the runner up position in the national finals, with UTC Oshi Leverton & Coach Finley Leverton accepting the award on behalf of the University at the LTA National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.
Another award for EUTC came from BUCS. The hard work of club Captain James Coffin was recognised and commended within the wider BUCS community, as he took home the "Special Recognition Award" at this years national BUCS award ceremony. James starts his new position this week within Exeter Sport as Sports President, representing our students within our sports clubs. Over the next year, he aims to increase student coaching as well as work on from our presious presidents inclusivity plan.
EUTC was also shortlisted as one of three national finalists for the "BUCS University Sports Club of the Year". None of the aforementioned awards would have been possible without the tremendous support from EUTC's members, whose contribution to the programme has made the tennis club the most popular sports club on campus. Special mention to all EUTC coaches for their hard work throughout the last academic year, also to head of tennis Guy Leverton for his ongoing mentorship and support.
