Cornwall Coach Conference 2022

The University of Exeter Coach Development Centre in collaboration with Tennis Cornwall and the Lawn Tennis Association hosted the 2022 Cornwall Coach Conference. Over 50 tennis coaches from around the country attended the event at Newquay's Heron Tennis Centre, which comprised of various workshops and seminars from industry experts.

This Girl Can Campaign 2022

February was another great month of campaigning for University of Exeter's Student Sport team. Across the 51 AU clubs, as well as Guild societies, students ran taster sessions, fundraising events, as well as using their social media platforms to spread awareness and celebrate women in sport. President of University of Exeter Tennis Club, Antonija has seen lots of success for the largest university tennis club in the UK this year including the win of 'South & Southwest University Tennis Club of the year' by the LTA. EURL score high, receiving funding in time for the RLWC

Our University of Exeter Rugby League club have received funding from the CreatedBy RLWC2021 capital grants programme, to improve the environments where Rugby League takes place; giving people more and better opportunities to engage with the game and to get active. The funding will allow the purchase of equipment that create environments that are accessible, welcoming and build a legacy of the 2021 tournament in our university and local communities.

Awareness Month Round-up: November and December

In November, we saw all 52 AU clubs unite for men’s mental health. The University of Exeter is renowned for its fundraising efforts, evidenced in topping this year’s Movember national leader board yet again. Fundraising totals came out to £102,702.97, with Men’s Football, Men’s Cricket, and the Hockey Club topping the university’s internal fundraising leaderboard.
